A tailgating party favorite!
Yield: Makes 8 servings

| 8 | fresh bratwurst | ||

| 1 | Tablespoon | all purpose flour | |
|
|
|||
| 2 | teaspoons | vegetable oil | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | teaspoon | dried marjoram | |
|
|
|||
| 1/8 | teaspoon | caraway seed | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | cup | dark beer | |
|
|
|||
| 8 | hot dog or sub buns | ||
|

|||
Place bratwurst in center of grill. Grill approximately 20 minutes, until brats are no longer pink in the middle, turning several times to brown all sides.
Meanwhile in a small saucepan, heat flour and oil over low heat (on edge of grill). Stir frequently until light brown. Add marjoram and caraway seed.
Whisk in dark beer. Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce is slightly thickened. Place bratwurst in sauce to coat and serve on buns with remaining sauce.
