| 1/2 | cup | butter or margarine | |

| 1 | cup | brown sugar | |

| 1 | egg, beaten | ||

| 1/2 | teaspoon | maple flavoring | |
|

| 1 | cup | flour | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | teaspoon | baking powder | |
|

| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
|

| pecan halves | |||

| 1 | cup | semi-sweet chocolate chips | |
|

| 2 | tablespoons | milk | |
|
|
|||
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and maple flavoring, beat together until smooth. Stir flour together with baking powder and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Chill dough. Drop dough by teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Push 3 pecan halves into bottom edge of each cookie, forming triangle with nuts. Bake at 350 F. for 12-14 minutes. Cool on rack. Melt chocolate chips with milk, stirring constantly. Frost top of cookie with melted chips.
