Hot, cheesy pizza just in time for the second half of the game

Preparation Time: 12 minutes; Cook Time: 8 minutes

| 1 | small onion, cut into thin strips | ||

| 2 | cloves | garlic, minced | |
|
|
|||
| 2 | small green bell peppers, cut into thin 1-inch strips | ||

| 1 | teaspoon | basil, crushed | |
|
|
|||
| 1/4 | teaspoon | thyme | |
|
|
|||
| 1/4 | teaspoon | red pepper flakes | |
|
|
|||
| 4 | large plum tomatoes, thinly sliced | ||
|

| 2 | (6-inch) pita breads, split horizontally | ||

| 2 | cups | (8 oz.) Sargento Fancy Shredded Pizza Double Cheese | |

1. Spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick vegetable spray; add oil. Cook onion and garlic in skillet 2 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add pepper strips; cook 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally; stir in basil, thyme and red pepper flakes.
2. Layer tomatoes evenly over pita rounds; top with warm vegetable mixture. Sprinkle evenly with cheese. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat source 1 minute or just until cheese is melted.
