| 1 | medium tart apple, peeled and chopped | ||

| 3/4 | cup | chopped walnuts | |
|
|
|||
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the egg.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; gradually add to the creamed mixture, beating just until combined. Stir in apple and walnuts.
Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
Bake at 350 F. for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
