| 1 | small onion, sliced | ||

| salt to taste | |||

| 1 | bottle | (8 oz.) Zesty Italian salad dressing | |
|
|
|||
Cut each potato into five slices. Place onion between slices and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Reassemble each potato on a double layer of heavy duty aluminum foil. Pour 4 tablespoons of salad dressing over each potato.
Wrap foil around potatoes and seal tightly. Grill, covered for 50-60 minutes or until potatoes are done.

“May have been good if you really....really like Zesty Italian Dressing. The dressing, particularly the vinegar, overwhelmed all other flavors. Poratoes tasted boiled, not grilled. I would recommend trying poking holes in the foil to get some "charcoal" flavor into the potatoes & onions. Cut way down on the dressing or try another kind of dressing. Perhaps add some dry herbs with peppers and mushrooms?”

“By adding a small pat of butter and granulated garlic to this it becomes AWESOME. Be careful as butter will flare up but it helps to carmelize both onion and potato.”
