Yield: 4-6 servings
| 1 | can | (16 oz.) tart cherries, drained | |

| 1/2 | cup | sugar, divided | |
|

|||
| 1 1/2 | tablespoons | tapioca | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | cup | flour | |
|
|
|||
| 1/4 | teaspoon | baking powder | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | cup | old fashioned oatmeal | |
|
|
|||
| 3 | tablespoons | margarine, softened | |
|
|
|||
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, mix cherries, 1/4 cup sugar and tapioca. Let stand for 15 minutes.
In another bowl, combine the remaining 1/4 cup sugar, flour and baking powder. Stir in the oatmeal. Cut in the margarine until the mixture is fine and crumbly. Place the cherry mixture in a pie plate and sprinkle with the oatmeal mixture.
Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until browned.
